You're paying people to do work that doesn't need a person.
Roteworks builds the system that does it — then proves it can be trusted to run without supervision. You keep the judgment and most of the savings. We take the rote.
What does somebody in your shop do every week that they hate, that takes hours — and has to be right?
That's the job we take. Renaming, reconciling, tracking, chasing, filing, reporting — the work that fills a salary without needing one. Every business over fifty people has at least one of these — most owners can name three of their own without pausing.
Drop a file in the box. That's the whole job.
A scripted walkthrough of the Roteworks intake pattern — the one we build for certifications, invoices, field tickets, and anything else with rules. Three synthetic documents, three different endings.

All names and numbers on this page are synthetic. Client documents never appear on a website — ours or anyone else's. Certifications shown here are the simplest case; the same engine runs quoting, AR chasing, payroll prep, dispatch and reporting.
The number your accountant will ask for anyway.
Slide to roughly what your shop spends on repetitive digital work. This is an illustration — your real number comes out of the Baseline Study, measured and signed.
Loaded cost = wage × 1.3 (CPP, EI, WCB, benefits, overhead).
Retainer shown at 25–40% of documented savings — fixed monthly, locked for each 12-month term.

Why you can trust it enough to stop checking.
Automation doesn't fail because it can't do the work. It fails because nobody trusts it enough to stop doing the work in parallel. So every Roteworks system ships with all eight of these — no exceptions, no upsells.
It checks its own work
An independent second pass re-reads every output against the source. Disagreement is never resolved silently — it escalates to a person.
It knows what it doesn't know
Anything below the confidence threshold routes to a human queue instead of being guessed at. Nothing is ever silently wrong.
The numbers must tie
Totals balance, counts reconcile, nothing appears or vanishes unexplained. If it doesn't tie, it doesn't post.
A person releases anything irreversible
Money movement, external messages, deletions — the system prepares, a human releases. Architectural rule, changed only by your written say-so.
Every action is logged
Originals are never modified. Every step is recorded and reversible. You can audit any decision the system made, months later.
It never fails silently
The daily report says what ran, what it did, what it flagged, what it couldn't handle. Silence always means "nothing happened."
There's a kill switch
Turn it off and keep operating — the documented manual fallback is part of every delivery. You'll likely never use it; you'll always have it.
Backups are tested, not assumed
Sync is not backup — cloud drives replicate deletions. We keep an independent, restore-tested backup of every register and tracker we run for you — quarterly, in writing — and we'll tell you plainly if your own tenant backup is sync-only.
Seven steps. Every engagement. No shortcuts.
BASELINE
Protect what exists before touching anything. Full copy, verified, off-site.
SURVEY
Measure the real cost. Ends in a number you sign — and a firm quote.
SPINE
The reference layer: schema, rules, register. One source of truth.
BUILD
The engine — documented, repeatable, runnable by your own staff.
GATE
Cold verification against artifacts, not against our own build notes. GO / NO-GO.
HAND OVER
Runbook, training, credentials, and your own copy of everything.
RUN
We operate, monitor, report, and tune. You read one report a month.
What we take off your payroll.
Quoting & estimating
Slow quotes lose work. The system assembles them in minutes, from your own price logic.
Invoice-to-cash
Reconciling, matching, chasing. Cash arrives sooner and nobody spends Friday on statements.
Timesheets & field tickets
From crew scrawl to payroll-ready, checked both ways, before the deadline — every time.
Dispatch & scheduling
Rule-bound and exhausting. The board maintains itself; a person approves the exceptions.
Compliance & credentials
Certs, tickets, COIs, calibration. Tracked, audited, flagged before an auditor finds it.
Reporting packs
Client, board, or regulator packs assembled on schedule from live data — the same, correct, every month.
And when you need more than operations — deep research with every fact traceable to a source, records and evidence systems built to survive scrutiny, publications produced end to end, brand and story systems, websites like this one. One firm, one discipline, any digital need. Ask about the strangest problem you have; those are our favourites.
The questions owners actually ask.
Is this "AI"?
Where it earns its place, yes — read and classify, draft and extract. But you're not buying AI, you're buying an outcome with a verification layer wrapped around it. We never sell buzzwords, and nothing gets guessed at.
Where does our data live?
In your cloud, in folders you own. You share them with us; your admin stays in control and can cut our access in one click. Our machines do the processing and manage the workload — working copies on our side are encrypted and destroyed on schedule, with a certificate at engagement close. Nothing is ever pooled, published, or used to train anything.
What happens to our people?
The part of their job they hate goes away; the part that needs a person stays. In practice the savings show up as overtime that stops, growth absorbed without hiring, and error rates that fall — your call, not ours.
What if you get hit by a bus?
Everything is documented as it's built — runbooks, plain files, training for your staff. You own your data, every output, and a working manual fallback. We sell the machine, not a dependency on us.
We treat your records like evidence.
- Your documents live in your cloud, in folders you own and share with us. Revoke access any time — and nothing of yours ever appears in a sales demo.
- Originals are never modified. Work happens on copies; hashes prove nothing changed.
- Every system action is logged and reversible. Full audit trail, kept for you.
- Independent backup of the registers and trackers we run for you, with a quarterly restore test — reported in writing, because sync is not backup.
- Personal information handled under PIPEDA and provincial privacy law.
- At engagement close: certificate of destruction for anything of yours we held.
Nonprofits & charities
Registered charities and nonprofits get 50% off setup and 15% off the monthly, applied to the standard rate card — verified by charitable registration number.
Capacity-building and digital-adoption grants often cover exactly this kind of project. The Baseline Study is the evidence those applications need, and we'll help you write the efficiency case in.
Built by the person who answers the phone.
Chad Benoit — Saskatchewan. Builder of systems that run without their builder standing next to them. Every Roteworks engagement is built, verified, and operated by the same person — no handoffs, no juniors, no offshore bench.
- Operates oss-ai-hub — a live production property serving ~84,000 visits a month, run end-to-end by autonomous, verified pipelines. One operator. That's the RUN service, demonstrated in public.
- Built a document-intake and expiry-tracking system deployed in an industrial services environment — the pattern behind the demo above.
- Built a verified evidence system for a multi-decade archive: every fact traceable to a source document, publication-grade.
- 30+ shipped products behind the discipline: nothing here is theoretical.
See what you'd receive
The Baseline Study is a document, not a promise. Read a full synthetic sample — a fictional 120-person shop, real method, every number calculated on the page.
Results, with receipts.
FIRST ENGAGEMENT UNDERWAY
Client names and numbers appear here only with written permission — the same discipline we'll apply to yours. References will be offered as engagements complete and clients consent.
Start with the number, not a sales pitch.
Every engagement begins with a Baseline Study — a short, fixed-fee measurement of what one function actually costs you. No build until you've seen the number and signed it.
We measure hours, loaded cost, error and rework, overtime, and cycle time — on site or remote.
A real piece of work with a firm price. If you never hire us again, you still know what the function costs.
"This function costs us $X a year" — plus a firm quote to take it off your payroll, priced against that number.
